- Something about me. As a kid in Bronx,New York, I was constantly drawing with pencil and inkpen. With no art training , I started oil painting in 1987. Ha! I see what Mom was saying about the bird on the ceremonial cup...I think it's ok, but what I really like about that painting is the contrast between the bold blue background and the gold finish of the bowl. The other drinking cup looks great, I like the red in the cup, but the background isn't as bold as your other painting. I like them both Dad, great work here.
