The Last Song Bird

Here is my 4 days (not 3 hour) painting. It's a simple subject, but I cannot understand why it took me so long to complete. It seemed the foliage kept competing with the main focus of the

colorful bird. Color intensity was my problem, and it took time, and rework again to get it to where I was satisfied.

Also initially, I had two rainbows, one in front of, and one behind the bird. I had to paint them out.

So, what do you think?
